So here is my song of the day I guess. I love The Medic Droid. This song is currently my ring tone as well.  This is on the new album/LP Whats Your Medium (available on iTunes).  Another good song by them is “Fer Sure”. But be forewarned there is vulgar language in the song “Fer Sure”. Hope you enjoy this song and the video .

So there is this boy.  We have been from what I can guess have been “seeing” each other for 2 months now.  Sounds all good right ? Not really.  I know I am going to sound like that cliche.  But I need some kind of hint as to were it is going.  He lives kind of far from me, makes it hard so you think when he did come down we would want some us time.  Well at least I would like some.  To talk about where this is going, if it’s going to stay at the place its at now or progress into more of a relationship.  I am not asking for marriage or even for him to say that we want to be boyfriends.

Another thing I don’t understand is every time he is here yes we do go out and do fun things.  But his cousins are always with us.  I really like his cousins but I would like some private time with him so we can have personal conversations.  As hard as it is, I am getting attached to him he his an awesome person and I really have a fun time with him.  I smile and laugh and its just like I feel better when he is near.  But last night was kind of the first time I got really frustrated about what has been going on.  Ill give a walk threw of the weekend plan I had made and how it has turned out.

So I had told him, since it was his birthday a few weeks ago and I was unable to go to where he lives that next time he is here I will cook a nice birthday dinner at my place.  I had planned to make it kind of romantic and even bought a cookbook that had all his favourite food in it so I could make it the way he likes it.  He was also from what he had planned staying at my place the Friday-Sunday when he had to go back.  I bought the food, prepped for the dinner Friday (even got my work to put me on a day shift so I could cook it in time).  So after work Friday I go home and start, send him a text just to double check that he is still staying at my house.  I got one back saying “No, that it he should stay at his cousins that night and he would stay over Saturday”.  So I cleaned up, and got ready to go out for drinks with him and his cousins.  Than start planning Saturday in the back of my mind.  Saturday rolls along and in the morning I had a coffee date with a good friend that just got back from Poland.  I then recieve a text from the boy asking me to meet him at the train station to go into the city for the day.  I was not able to get to the train in time to go with him, but I finished my coffee date, showered and went to the train station and proceeded to go to the city.

Once in the city we walked around from 5:00pm – 11:30 pm.  I was frustrated that there was no real plan but went with it anyways.  So at 11:30pm we went to my friends bar and a few others with his cousins.  Then finally it was time to return home, I was rather annoyed by this point.  Not only was my birthday dinner for him ruined, we still had not achieved alone time.   In the car on the way home I asked him if he was still at least staying over.  But no, it would be stupid for him to drive to his cousins then back to my place.

I was really hurt by that comment.  I am sorry but I just did a lot of inconvenient things to accommodate his plans all weekend, all I asked is for him to drive like a five minutes out of his way.  This morning I woke up feeling like an idiot.  Even more confused and lost about where we stand and where we are going.  If I at least don’t get some alone time with him today, I may just assume it as a friendship and not try as hard to pursue a relationship with him.

Sorry about the rant, needed to get that off my chest.

Alone Now by Chyliñska (<- thats the link to listen to the English version Alone Now)

This is the video Niekochana by O.N.A.  Although I am not a huge fan of the video I do really like the song in both polish and English.  The English version is called “Alone Now” and the singer from O.N.A Chyliñska had it on her English album.  Ill post the English lyrics as soon as I write them up.  I am sure I can just as easily find a site that has them, but its always better to write your own then rely on others work.  Hope you enjoy the song.  I also posted the English version for your listening pleasure

My Ranking: ★★ out of 4 stars.

Okay so to start the Album (at least the way they are arranged on my computer) it opens with Outta My Head.  The song was fun at first.  Very refreshing to hear a differnt retro feeling style from her.  But after hearing on the radio way to much it was put into over kill for me.  In general the Album is okay, it isn’t FANTASTIC but it isn’t that bad either.  I found it to be rather fun to listen to in the car or here and there on the iPod.  As far as the musical tallent on it, I found it to be a lack there of situation on most of the tracks it had mostly a talking feeling with fun beats and catchy phraises.  One song I really did enjoy out of the whole album and has in its own way become a staple in my play list was Never Dream Alone.  I loved the piano and just her voice.  The lyrics I feel were written well, and I enjoyed it a lot.  I do have to give some kudos for this album though, considering it was different from her last ones it was a nice fresh of breath air.  But it felt “safe”.  By that I mean it had that cookie cutter, lets make what the people want and what will sell feeling.  Another track that does deserve some kind of reconition is Little Miss Obsessive.  I felt this to be another well done track, fun to listen to and if your like me pretend you can sing and sing along with.

All in all I gave it 2 out of 4 stars because it wasnt a horrible album but it wasnt the top of my list either.  I believe that every one should give it a listen to if they have the time.  But listen to it not expecting to much but give it a try you make be surprised.

As anyone should do and I strongly recomend it.  Do your HOMEWORK here.  If you don’t do you you are at risk of getting the run around.  Or paying way more than you need to.

Ill review some sites for you so you can see how I came to the conclusion of why I made the choice I made on a webhost.

Ill start out with HostICan although there was not much wrong with them, they were pretty great actually I got a bit picky and looked at a realistic payment method. With the basic plan you get a free domain name.

What the basic offers:

As you can see it isn’t that bad.  At first I was like this is the one I want to host with, they have an easy to navigate site.  Look and sounds reliable, and $6.96/month you cant go wrong.  So I proceeded to go to check out then realized that they don’t have a monthly payment option its an all or nothing go here. At a whopping $166.80 up front.  With all my other bills and expenses this was something I could not justify doing.

They even had a summer promotion of a 20% discount.

Having never tried them before I did not want to be stuck in paying for a whole year up front. Things change so do websites and a websites needs.  I wanted the flexibility to be able to leave if it doesn’t work after a few months with no REAL loss to myself.

So I then decided to check out another site, and this was DreamHost .

To me they looked a little to good to be true so I read some reviews on them on graphic design sites, and stumbled a hosting option they offered because they had a lot of space (the fourm/article I read).  Then there was post further down to a blog someone had written basically saying what was wrong with dreamhost (link).  Just after that I decided DreamHost was a no for me.

I then decided to see what SurpassHosting was up to.  Having used them as a host before I already knew that they had great customer service and their rates were billed monthly.

For their basic Power plan you get 200GB Disk Space 2000GB Bandwidth 10 Add On Domains.  At $6/month or $60/year.  Not to shabby I’d say.  But also note that you will need to buy a $15.99 domain name if you already have one they have an option for that as well.  This $15.99 domain name charge is a one time fee and is not going to be reoccurring monthly.  So that domain name will be good for a full 12 months!

At the check out it totals every thing up for you making the first payment $22.96.  Then after that the payments will be the reoccurring $6.00.

In conclusion I have decided that I would like to go with SurpassHosting.  I feel for me they meet my needs and offer the flexibility that I am after, and from experience know that they have excellent and fast customer service.  Many I have talked to/read on the net, have had a good experience with them.  I am sure some may have had other wise as like with the other hosting sites I listed here.  I just suggest that when picking a webhost that you do some research and see whats out there and what works for you, your first choice may not always be the best choice.  Look into it and read reviews and customer input.  Like with anything it is always best to shop around.

Why wordpress? Why would I choose this to be the place that I choose to get acquainted with blogging. I am very new to the whole thing but I liked the idea of being able to use word press off my phone so I can always write and be up to date with my blog and not let it slip between the cracks of cyber space. Alas I should really learn how to make my own layouts that way it could be more personal in a sense. Well that’s about all for now.
